  • "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. Remember the words I spoke to you: `No servant is greater than his master.' If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the One who sent me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin. Now, however, they have no excuse for their sin. He who hates me hates my Father as well. If I had not done among them what no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin. But now they have seen these miracles, and yet they have hated both me and my Father. But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: `They hated me without reason.'

    John 15:18-25

I love this verse because it helps me smile at the people who persecute me and treat them with love and kindness despite their trying to hurt me. I love knowing that I am doing it for My Savior, My God. I know i couldn't love them by myself either. I have to allow Him to love them through me. But I also know i don't have to do anything alone because He is with me. Always.

  • If you could choose your family members, who would you choose as your parents?

In all honesty I wouldn't change a thing. I love both of my parents that God has given me. Sure I wish I didn't have to be treated the way I am by my mother, but I know that God has a plan for me and somehow it will work out for good.

I just answered this Featured Question, you can answer it too!

  •  "You are my witnesses," declares the LORD,
"and my servant whom I have chosen,
so that you may know and believe me
and understand that I am he.
Before me no god was formed,
nor will there be one after me.

    Isaiah 43:10

I surfed Xanga today... I found a young woman's site who is faced with a tough decision. She is a believer, but her family is not. That in itself is difficult, to be faced with the thoughts that your family may not reside with you in heaven when that time comes.  But to make matters worse, she has been forbidden to attend church. She has to decide between fellowship and obeying her parents both, very important issues. I myself can only pray that things work out for this young woman of God. I wish her the best and hold her in my prayers.
  •    But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him,
on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,
     to deliver them from death
and keep them alive in famine.
     We wait in hope for the LORD;
he is our help and our shield.

    Psalms 33:18-20

Today I am taking a bunch of aptitude tests to try to find out what I am going to do with my life. My plan was to go to school to be a nurse, then continue on to be a doctor, eventually. Then Doug said something to me about how I am almost to young to decide what I want to be. That there is more out there than I know about and that I should explore my options a little better before I make up my mind. The truth is though,  that I keep being drawn back to the medical field.  I mean, I have my doubts, but I think that this really may be what God had planned for me all along. But what if it isn't?  What if I make the wrong decision?  I guess I should have faith that I will do the right thing. I know I also need to remember that God works around our decisions and that he will make good come out of it if I follow him and read my bible. I just need to trust in Him. I have a hard time with that though, and I know it. God Bless, until next time.

  • "Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens,
and those who lead many to righteousness,
like the stars forever and ever."
    Danial 12:3 NIV

I am going to start out every blog with a verse from the bible. They will be various topics... whatever strikes me important for the day.
